Read "On the Uses of a Liberal Education: As Lite Entertainment For Bored College Students" by Mark Edmundson at the University of Virginia, reprinted from Harper's September 1997 by permission of the author.

Take notes as you read (either on paper, or on the computer) based upon the different rhetorical issues we discussed today in class.
